UX Designer

Melbourne, AUS (Hybrid) | Product Team | Shape the Future of Construction Tech

Want to design products people don’t just use, but rely on every day?
At Buildxact, we’re helping builders and trades run smarter businesses with less chaos. We’re looking for a UX Designer who can turn complex workflows into simple, intuitive, and beautiful experiences that drive real customer impact.

Why You’ll Love It Here:

Own the Experience – You’ll shape how thousands of builders interact with our product daily

Real Impact – Your work directly influences attraction, conversion, and retention

Build From Scratch – Greenfield thinking with room to create, test, and evolve

Tight Team Energy – Collaborative, agile, and no ego, just people who care about building great products

Customer First Always – Everything we design ties back to real-world outcomes

What You’ll Be Doing:

Own the end-to-end UX process from concept to launch and beyond

Design user flows, wireframes, and prototypes that simplify complex workflows

Run user research, testing, and validation to uncover real customer needs

Translate insights into clear, actionable product and design decisions

Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and cross-functional teams to bring ideas to life

Facilitate workshops and drive alignment across stakeholders

Create high-quality designs ready for developer handoff—and iterate post-launch based on data

Help establish and evolve the Buildxact design system for consistency and scale

Provide thought leadership on UX trends, interaction patterns, and emerging tech

Mentor and guide others on best practices in user-centered design

You’ll Thrive If You Have:

Experience designing UX for SaaS or digital products

A strong user-first mindset—you simplify, clarify, and remove friction

Confidence working end-to-end across research, design, testing, and delivery

Experience collaborating with engineering teams in agile environments

A natural curiosity and bias toward testing, learning, and improving

Strong communication skills—you can explain design decisions clearly and influence stakeholders

Experience building or contributing to design systems

A passion for solving real-world problems with elegant, practical solutions

Bonus points if you’ve worked in construction, trades, or workflow-heavy industries

The Buildxact Way:

We build like the customers we serve: practical, fast-moving, and built to last. Our values are:

It’s yours to nail
Customer success is our success
Do what’s right
Keep it simple
